Anxiety is one of the most common, but overlooked causes of many of our struggles, and shows up in life in ways we might not expect: Perfectionism. Workaholism. Test Anxiety. Performance Anxiety or stage fright. I specialize in many of the disorders associated with anxiety, which are particularly relevant to young adults pursuing higher eduction. Not being prepared to live in a larger (or smaller) city, having to manage a complicated academic schedule while adapting to the accessibility of a social life previously unknown can present many stressors, which will wear us down. Especially if we aren't sleeping well or enough, not eating too great, and probably not getting enough quiet time/down time to reflect and really notice what is bothering us.

I am also particularly drawn to those who feel ostracized in some way. A bit weird, eccentric, nerdy, quiet, single by choice, or any other outcast-type denominator--I've felt that feeling, and I pretty much get it. There can be many benefits to living in a non-conformist way, and I can help guide you to find your assets. Sometimes we just can't see it ourselves--we're a bit too close to it. I can hold up the mirror.

And finally, I have a deep compassion for those who struggle with existential crises. The world is unfair and unjust in many ways, and too often, the load we are asked to carry becomes way too heavy. When you are sinking, and you see no light, let me help. I can work to show you where the light might be hiding, and uncover it just a bit. A glimmer can change everything. If you are willing, joy can return. Contentment. Satisfaction.
